teXXmo is specialized on industrial-grade Tablet PCs and serves as Value-added Distributor (VAD) a reseller network in Europe. The product range of teXXmo includes semi-rugged and rugged Tablet PC solutions, wearable computer systems and sensor technology. Most of these industrial devices run without blowers or other rotating parts and are consequently dust-resistant and robust. teXXmo is a high-tech and research-driven SME and as such involved in several R&D projects, contracted by customers or commissioned by German and European administration. teXXmo’s research expertise is in wearable and sensing technologies, two topics, which are merging and jointly becoming the interface between humans and their environment, i.e. towards Cyber-Physical Systems, the Internet of Things or German “Industrie 4.0”.
teXXmo’s mission in ProRegio is to bring information closer to the workplace and even directly to the human body. Based on the analysis of customer and user requirements, while obeying the constraints given by the environment, and optimizing all aspects towards best usability, teXXmo will investigate, specify and implement functional demonstrators and contribute to the anticipated ProRegio PLM tool. The teXXmo team can base this new research on more than 75 person years’ worth of experience in Industrial Wearable Computing, including Ph.D. research, proprietary wearable computing platforms and several commercial pilot projects.
